BEEF STEW

Ingredients:

2 lbs lean stew meat
6 medium size potatoes (white or gold)
6 large carrots
4 large stalks celery
1 8oz can Hunts tomato sauce

Spices:

1/4 cup flour
1 tbls celery seed
1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbls Worcestershire sauce
1 pk McCormick beef stew seasoning

Preparation:

Cut stew beef into 1 inch cubes.

Brown beef in a small amount of olive oil in frying pan enough oil to cover bottom of pan stirring often to brown on all sides. (don’t burn meat) Medium to medium high is good.

When beef is brown pour into crock pot with all juice.

Cover beef with water.

Mix 1/4 cup flour in a large cup or a shaker with cold water should be milky but not to thin no lumps pour in crock pot.

Cut potatoes into 3/4 inch cubes or smaller.

Cut carrots 1/2 inch slices.

Cut celery into 1/2 inch or a little smaller slices.

Add all spices and Hunts sauce.

Fill crock pot with water to cover all ingredients, stir very well to mix in all spices.

Cover cook 8-10 hours on low. Recommend 10 hours. Stir again..... ENJOY!!!!!
